Manchester United Statement – Marcus Rashford
Manchester United have released a statement confirming that Marcus Rashford has taken responsibility for his actions and that the matter is now closed. The statement reads as follows:
“Manchester United can confirm that Marcus Rashford has taken responsibility for his actions. This matter is now closed.”
The statement comes after Rashford was pictured in a nightclub in Belfast on Thursday night. He missed Friday’s training session at Carrington and was not included in the United squad for the FA Cup win over Newport County on Saturday.
It is understood that Rashford apologised to manager Erik ten Hag and his teammates for his actions. Ten Hag has said that he will speak to Rashford about the matter in private.
Rashford’s form has been poor this season and he has been criticized for his lack of goals and assists. He has scored just five goals in 29 appearances in all competitions.
It is hoped that Rashford can rediscover his form in the second half of the season. He is a talented player and he is still young and has plenty of time to improve.
