Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola speaks at a press conference ahead of Sunday’s Community Shield clash against Liverpool.

The City squad is now close to full strength after a number of players missed the pre-season tour of Asia due to international commitments.

Guardiola said: “Except Fernandinho, everybody is back. The guys that came back later maybe they will get a few minutes.”

Midfielder Fernandinho, who was at the Copa America, is due to return to training next week.

He also spoke about the German winger Leroy Sane, who has has been linked with Bayern Munich throughout the summer.

Guardiola said: “The player didn’t tell me anything. No players have said they want to leave. That is the reality I have. He is our player. We want him to stay.”
