Let us dive in and check the season’s losers and winners.
Is Liverpool unstoppable?
In the race for the title, no one can stop Liverpool. They look set to win their first Premier League title in 30 years. Some thought the Christmas fixture congestion would derail them, but that was not to be. Liverpool cruised past the fixtures winning the matches in a bullish attitude. They recently tasted defeat for the first time this season to a hardworking Watford team. The loss was a big blow to their ambition of emulating the invincible team of Arsene Wenger. The loss might be a slight set back or the beginning of a decline in form and performance for Liverpool. But as things stand, they have a significant lead and look set to win the title.
Who will finish in the top four?
With the title all but gone, the race for the top three will keep the excitement and drama as the premier league enters its final stretch. This race is providing enormous headache to punters on Betway as games have become very unpredictable. Manchester City looks like they are the best of the rest. They have a seven-point lead with a game in hand. They will most likely finish second. Leicester’s loss to Norwich City blew open the race for the remaining two positions.Up to six teams have a mathematical chance of finishing in the top four. But, based on the team squad strength, Chelsea and Manchester United look set to occupy the third and fourth place. Leicester will have to settle for a place in the Europa League with Arsenal, Tottenham, and Wolves.
Is the mid-table safe?
The mid-table is not safe. Teams in the middle of the table have to find form and rack up some wins. Otherwise, Newcastle, who is currently at 32 points, is not further away from Watford and Bournemouth at 27 points. Norwich which had a strong start has stumbled and is now just hanging in there. This mid-table battle will be won by teams with strong mental strength and consistency.
Who is likely to be relegated?
Nigel Pearson has saved the Foxes before and looks set to save Watford. The team seems reenergized under him and is just above the relegation zone. With that said, no one from Brighton, West Ham, Watford, Bournemouth, Aston Villa, and Norwich is safe. Any of these teams could be relegated. Norwich and Aston Villa seem to have thrown in the towel. Bournemouth will most likely join them. This is also a race that Betway punters will use to make most decisions.
The Golden Boot
The battle for the golden boot will be between Aubameyang and Vardy. The two seem to be on top of their game this season oftentimes scoring at will. But Auba looks set to win this one.
